Dreams


Dreams should be warm and sweet,
Like a kiss good night,
And your mother’s soft hand.


Dreams should be firelight,
In a dark forest,
And battles on barren plains.


Dreams should be frightening,
Like a shock of lightning,
And walking alone in a dark alley way.


Dreams should wake you up sweating,
Making your blood run cold,
And your hair stand up on end.


Dreams should be the whisper of wind,
The cool pitter patter of rain,
And snowflakes stuck in your hair.


Dreams should be the escape,
The entrance to your world,
And the wonders of your soul.
